A balanced learning day

What a planned VPK day may include

The final schedule will be announced only after approval. The planned approach balances teacher-guided learning, child choice, movement, outdoor discovery, conversation, creativity, meals, and transitions.

Small-group learning

Intentional experiences based on observation, readiness, interests, and Florida learning domains.

Outdoor discovery

Movement, nature observation, garden science, measurement, teamwork, and supervised exploration.

Health, safety, and belonging

A secure environment for learning and growth

The planned VPK experience will operate within Tinysteps’ licensing, supervision, emergency, health, sanitation, authorized-pickup, and family-communication procedures.

What families can do now

Express interest without making an enrollment commitment

01

Check state eligibility

Florida’s VPK program generally serves children who live in Florida and are four years old on or before September 1 of the school year.

02

Submit a Tinysteps inquiry

Select “VPK — pending availability and approval” so Tinysteps can discuss anticipated needs privately.

03

Wait for confirmation

No Tinysteps VPK placement is final until provider approval, availability, documents, schedule, and a start date are confirmed.

VPK questions

What families should know

Is Tinysteps VPK enrolling now?

No. The program is pending approval and availability. Families may submit an interest inquiry, but that is not enrollment or a guaranteed placement.

Is VPK the same as ordinary preschool care?

No. Florida VPK is a state-funded educational program with eligibility, provider, schedule, attendance, curriculum, and accountability requirements. Additional care outside an approved VPK session is a separate arrangement.

Will every eligible child receive a Tinysteps space?

No. State eligibility does not guarantee placement with a particular provider. Tinysteps must first receive approval and then confirm space, schedule, documentation, and program readiness.

How will families receive updates?

Interested families will receive direct communication after program approval, schedule, application steps, and availability are confirmed.
